— When I was little, there were two things that were important to me. The first was my thumb. I sucked my thumb from before I was born. That continued until I was about five years old. The other thing was my blanket. It was something Mama gave me when I was born, and became a security object that I couldn’t sleep without. I dragged it everywhere with me. It was just a pink thermal blanket with silk binding. That was one of the few things that I kept after Mama died. I had a couple stuffed animals that Daddy made sure to pick up from the house, but otherwise, I didn’t bring very much after Mama died. Daddy got me to give up sucking my thumb when I was about five. The blanket I still have and can’t sleep without. Jimmy thinks it’s cute. I just can’t give it up. It’s soothing to my Autistic and Bipolar brain. — There were two friends that I made immediately when we moved to the Wingrider community in Calgary: Sara Scofiled and Natalia Grianne. Sara is one of the doctors and Natalia is a photographer. I met Sara at the clinic and we struck up a friendship. Natalia I met while I was pregnant with Shi. I wanted to have some pregnancy shots taken to document my body changing during the pregnancy. I introduced Sara and Natalis to each other, and they became fast friends, too. The three of us would get together quite often to go horseback riding together and just hang out. As we had kids, we started bringing the kids along with us for mommy and baby outings. Shi has become an expert horsewoman through these outings, and Knox is now learning how to ride, too. — I’ve been fairly close to my godmother, Gin Stewart-Anderson, my whole life. Daddy has never much liked her, but they were siblings once upon a time. Gin was an archangel before she Fell more than 4,000 years ago. She and her husband, Christian, adopted Echo when she was 14 years old. That’s when I first met Echo. We became friends almost immediately. We hung out as much as we could, although Jimmy was never a big fan of Echo. She was also a few years younger than me, so Jimmy and me were getting ready for college and marriage around the time Echo came into the picture. I was happy when Gin’s family moved into the Wingrider community. Although we’re not as close now as we used to be. There’s been some drama between us that has caused a bit of a rift. I’m sure we’ll patch it up eventually. We are family, after all. — My soul was damaged because I was smote in my previous life. Souls aren’t really supposed to recover from that. But mine was able to reconstitute enough for me to be reborn into this life. But, because of the damage, I was suffering from a lot of depression. It was more than depression, but I don’t have strong enough words to describe it. I was suicidal quite often, and having a really hard time living my life. That’s when Lucifer and Daddy got together to try to heal my soul. They used the power of the demiurge to tear open the universe and heal me. It was an indescribable experience, but I immediately felt so much better. Since then, I haven’t had any more suicidal thought or urges. I’m hoping that my Bipolar is now reduced to just the mania instead of depression, as well. We’ll see how it play out, but that’s my hope. — I’m conversational in ten languages and literate in nine. The only one of the ten that I speak and that I can’t also read is Elvish. But Daddy did try to teach me an 11th language that just didn’t work out. While I was still fairly young, he tried to teach me German, but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t wrap my mouth around German words. I got frustrated early on and wanted to give up, but Daddy insisted that I give it a second shot. We even went to Germany so that I could hear multiple native speakers. Still, I couldn’t get my mouth to form those words. Eventually, Daddy gave into my frustration and stopped trying to make me learn German. At the time, I could read it just fine, and I could even hear the words in my head. I just couldn’t speak it. Over time, I’ve forgotten how to read that language and I don’t understand when it’s spoken to me anymore, either. I think my brain just completely dismissed it when I stopped trying to learn it. — Amenadiel and Raphael played big roles in my life when I was growing up. Daddy had to do things for granddad. He was an active archangel. So that meant that he sometimes needed someone to watch me. When I was very young, he’d take me to my grandparents. They were always available. But, after we moved to New York, he couldn’t always get me to Greece when he had to do something, so Amenadiel and Raphael would watch over me. Out of all my Angelic family, they’re the two that I’m closest to other than Daddy. Although I have become close to Lucifer in the past five or six years. I think, out of all my relatives, Lucifer is the most fun. But Amenadiel is the most fatherly. I always felt safe with him. And he was always game to play with me or read me a story. I was happy for Amenadiel when he and Linda had Charlie. I know that he’ll be an amazing father. He had quite a bit of practice with me. — Now, obviously, Jimmy is my favorite person in the world. He’s my mate and very best friend and I would do absolutely anything for him. But I do enjoy time away from Jimmy, as well, to do things that I enjoy. We don’t both love the same things. I enjoy horseback riding with Sara and Natalia. I also like to go clubbing occasionally, when I have friends to go with. I won’t go alone, but when Chloe and Maze feel like going to Lux for an evening, or Natalia and Sara want to go out on the town, then I’m usually game. I also enjoy working with Daddy on my arial fighting skills. Daddy is probably the best of the host at arial fighting, so I’ve been learning from him since I was a young adult. I’ve still got a long way to go, but I’m getting better all the time. It’s one thing to fight on the ground, but it’s definitely something else to fight in the air. Sparring in general is one of my favorite things. There are a couple Wingriders in the community that I spar with quite frequently. It’s a combination of challenging my skills and learning new ones.
